Viristar’s New Website Features New Services, More Resources

Viristar recently published a new website, introducing new services and additional information to support its clients, and featuring a refreshed, easier-to-navigate design.

The new website is designed to provide enhanced value to current and prospective clients.

“Viristar is introducing new consulting, training and accreditation services, in a website with a professional and intuitive design,” said Kaelan Young, Viristar’s Communication Manager. “Our website has more resources and is easier to use than ever before,” she said.

The launch of the website coincides with the arrival of Viristar’s new Adventure Safety Accreditation program, which provides adventure tourism, outdoor recreation, and other adventure-based organizations the opportunity to demonstrate they meet high risk management standards.

The accreditation program, whose design was informed by ISO 17021 on conformity assessment bodies, was developed following repeated requests from adventure travel and tourism organizations for such a service, and to fill a marketplace gap those organizations identified.

The new Adventure Safety Accreditation scheme also offers organizations such as destination management organizations—and others who hire adventure program providers—a detailed benchmark they can use to help ensure their suppliers are employing good safety practices.

The website describes other goods and services Viristar offers, including:

  • Consulting on safety, quality, program design, and business management
  • Risk management and wilderness medicine trainings
  • Articles and an outdoor safety textbook

The new site provides detailed descriptions of Viristar’s services for adventure, travel, experiential and outdoor programs.

And it includes additional information about Viristar, including detail on Viristar’s clients, geographical reach, and values.

The site now offers more ways to get in touch with Viristar, including by WhatsApp and WeChat, and features better connectivity between the website and Viristar’s e-learning platform, or Learning Management System (LMS).

Viristar.com now has better accessibility, including improved conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

Further improvements to the website are coming. Planned upgrades include a Single Sign-On (SSO) experience, where one login connects a user to the website and LMS, and the ability for alumni to search for and retrieve course completion certificates. Additional improvements to WCAG conformance are also planned.

New products and services will also be added to the website as Viristar completes their development.

Feedback and suggestions regarding the new website are welcome.
