Continuing Education Units Available for Risk Management for Outdoor Programs course, via CSU Pueblo

Viristar is proud to announce that participants in Viristar's Risk Management for Outdoor Programs training can now obtain Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for the course, through an arrangement between Viristar and Colorado State University Pueblo.

CSU Pueblo’s Division of Extended Studies will provide four CEUs for graduates of the Risk Management for Outdoor Programs class.

CEUs provide evidence of ongoing professional development, demonstrate commitment to ongoing learning, and show that a person is enhancing their ability to contribute to the field—all valuable traits for employees and professionals everywhere.

CEUs provided by Colorado State University Pueblo are provided to Viristar graduates along with a certificate, a copy of an unofficial transcript, and a letter from the Dean of Extended Studies verifying the CEUs.

The four CEUs awarded by CSU Pueblo to Risk Management for Outdoor Programs cost USD $90 (payable to CSU), and are available by filling out CSU's Short Courses and Conferences Registration Form. Simply complete the form, selecting the course "CNED 500 - Viristar: Risk Management for Outdoor Programs" from the drop-down list.

Registrants will receive an initial registration confirmation email. Within the next 48 hours, registrants will be contacted by the CSU office for payment collection and confirmation of registration completion. On receipt of payment by CSU, the university will issue a CEU certificate, a letter explaining the CEUs, and a copy of the unofficial transcript.

Kathryn Starkey, Adult Learning/PLA Lead Specialist with CSU Pueblo’s Division of Extended Studies, said, "Colorado State University Pueblo in partnership with Viristar is proud to offer attendees of the Viristar’s Risk Management for Outdoor Programs training the opportunity to gain Continuing Education Units (CEU) issued under the seal of CSU Pueblo’s Division of Extended Studies. Demonstrating your earned CEUs to your organization or employer can help increase your chance for promotion, salary raises, or chance to make a career transition as it demonstrates your commitment to continued education, enhancing your marketability as an employee."
